When this client came to us, they were interested handyman services in their Waterloo home. They were looking for exterior renovation of their pool house as it was run down and didn’t look anything like the rest of the property. They eventually added the interior renovation to make the space more usable.
We came up with a game plan to align the aesthetic to that of their home. They wanted to add lights, open up the porch so it felt larger, and add a window to bring more light inside. The client was to provide the materials, and we got started.
We removed all the worn exterior, added new siding, painted the trim white, and added a pine ceiling to the ceiling of the porch which gave the pool house a modern feel.
Can lights were added to the interior ceiling and porch ceiling. The pine wood slats helped brighten the area since the light could reflect off the lighter wood.
We demoed everything for the project's interior to make the space an open and more usable space. We removed the unused shower, shelving, and cabinets to allow for more space.
We put up drywall, framed the space, painted, and added trim. Next was LVT flooring that would be easier to clean while elevating the aesthetic Wrapping the trim around the pool pump was the only aspect left from the previous design.
We added a third window to the wall to the left of the door and matched the trim to the aesthetic of the main house. Continuing with the white trim from the exterior.
Lastly, we followed the trim around the pool filter, so it looked complete. We also painted the orange insulation foam that surrounded the pump white so it would not catch the eye which finished out the project.
